National Conference
As part of professional development, CFMTA, in conjunction with a host province offers biennial conferences bringing together it’s members from across Canada!
The conferences offer concerts, master classes, information sessions, pedagogy sessions, a trade fair and much more. National Competitions feature the outstanding performances of students of members of the CFMTA.
Wellness Symposium
Wellness Symposiums, a collaborative initiative between the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations (Canada) and the Music Teachers National Association (USA),were established in 2008.
These three day symposiums, Empowering the Whole Musician, offer insight into different aspects of musician wellness in areas of body, mind and spirit. Each morning participants attend a workshop presented by one of three internationally claimed wellness experts. The past two symposiums were held at the Yamaha Center in the historic Aeolian Building, in midtown Manhattan, in beautiful New York City
