At the local, provincial and national level, her priorities and passions are based upon connection, community, and collaboration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For over five decades, Peggy has shared her joy of music with students. A firm believer in lifelong learning, she embraces every opportunity to discover more about the art of teaching, performing, and composing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peggy believes music can be enjoyed by everyone. This belief has led her in many directions, including: choral\/orchestral directing local musicals, keyboard playing in pop\/jazz ensembles, composing, and spearheading many community and provincial projects such as <em>From Prairie to Pine \u2013 Piano Solos by Saskatchewan Composers,<\/em> CNCM Summer Sizzle Keyboard Kamp and Pedagogy Symposium \u2013 Biggar, West Central Contemporary Showcase, and Heart of the City Piano Program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She has served various organizations including the Sask Arts Board, Biggar Music Festival, Biggar Majestic Theatre, West Central Registered Music Teachers, Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects. Peggy is past president of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers and the Saskatchewan Registered Music Teachers Associations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With much gratitude to her many colleagues and mentors, over the years Peggy has received the following awards: RCM 40 Years of Dedicated Service Award (2019), SMFA Adjudicating Excellence Award (2022), CFMTA Hugheen Fergusson Distinguished Teaching Award (2024), and presently, is appreciative\u00a0 and humbled to serve as the CFMTA Honorary President.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Favorite pastimes include music making, reading, fishing, crafting and spending time with her extended family and friends.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-1761-1-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-1761-1-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"3\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<div>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Peggy L\u2019Hoir est une p\u00e9dagogue, clinicienne, artiste collaboratrice, examinatrice et compositrice enthousiaste et novatrice. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle locale, provinciale et nationale, ses priorit\u00e9s et ses passions reposent sur la connexion, la communaut\u00e9 et la collaboration.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Depuis plus de cinquante ans, Peggy partage sa joie de la musique avec ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Convaincue de la valeur de l\u2019apprentissage tout au long de la vie, elle saisit chaque occasion d\u2019en apprendre davantage sur l\u2019art d\u2019enseigner, de jouer et de composer.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Peggy croit que la musique est \u00e0 la port\u00e9e de tous. Cette conviction l\u2019a men\u00e9e dans de nombreuses directions, notamment la direction chorale et orchestrale de com\u00e9dies musicales locales, la participation en tant que clavi\u00e9riste dans divers ensembles pop et jazz, la composition, ainsi que la mise sur pied de nombreux projets communautaires et provinciaux, tels que <em>From Prairie to Pine \u2013 Piano Solos by Saskatchewan Composers<\/em>, le <em>CNCM Summer Sizzle Keyboard Kamp and Pedagogy Symposium<\/em> \u00e0 Biggar, le <em>West Central Contemporary Showcase<\/em> et le <em>Heart of the City Piano Program<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"FR-CA\">Elle a mis son expertise au service de nombreuses organisations, dont le <em>Sask Arts Board<\/em>, le <em>Biggar Music Festival<\/em>, le <em>Biggar Majestic Theatre<\/em>, les <em>West Central Registered Music Teachers<\/em> et l\u2019<em>Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects<\/em>.
