CFMTA/FCAPM Participation in ISME World Conference 2026

PAPER PRESENTATION—CALL FOR PROPOSALS
DEADLINE: September 15th for Submission to CFMTA/FCAPM

  • (ISME) invites you to share your research, practice and teaching experiences in music education.
  • All ISME Submission Criteria must be followed: www.ismeworldconference.org/isme26/callforpapers
  • Please follow the ISME Guidelines: www.ismeworldconference.org/isme26/GuidelinesforAuthors
  • For CFMTA/FCAPM partnered submissions, all presenters must be members of CFMTA/FCAPM. Membership in ISME is not required.
  • A travel subsidy from CFMTA/FCAPM is available. Full coverage of all expenses is not guaranteed. A proposed budget is required. Allowable expenses to list in the budget include travel (airfare, mileage, etc), hotel accommodations, and food. Funding amount will be offered at the time of acceptance of the proposal.

General Instructions for Submissions:

  • Title should not exceed 15 words.
  • References may be included but will not be counted toward the abstract word count.
  • Do not include diagrams and tables in abstracts.
  • The paper presentations, if accepted, will not be published in the conference proceedings.

General Instructions for all Abstracts

  • Submissions in English will be accepted.
  • Abstract Title should not exceed 15 words.
  • Abstracts should be a maximum of 400 words.
  • References may be included but will not be counted toward the abstract word count.
  • Do not include diagrams and tables in abstract.
  • Choose up to 3 keywords that are relevant to your submission
  • All abstracts must be anonymized. Submissions containing identifying information will not be considered for review.
  • While it is not mandatory to follow this structure, abstracts generally are reviewed on the following five items:
    • Theoretical/pedagogical background of the paper
    • Aim/focus of the work/research reported
    • Method/approach/modes of inquiry
    • Results and/or summary of the main ideas
    • Conclusions and implications for music education
